The Family Prophecy verses the Unexpected..

This may be a rather personal post, but I do think that it brings up a few good ideas.

With the recent events, I’ve come to realize and question a few things.

I realized..  First, as good as advices given from close friends, in the end, it’s not about the most popular advice you’ve gotten.  But you have to decide for yourself and create the ending in your personal movie, and with the faith that God takes care of all (without sounding too “religious”).

I question..  I’ve written a “Personal Statement” awhile back, inspired from reading “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” by Stephen Covey.  My Personal Statement begins with this “Always maintain integrity in action, in decision, in interaction.”  But where do you draw the line for integrity?  Is there a line for integrity and crossing over to the dark side?  I suppose that would be decided by you, your perspective, and most importantly, the foundation of your believe system (if you have one).  What is integrity?  I am still trying to figure out.  It may come from conversations between me and my Creator.

I decided..  Awhile back I was pondering whether dating is just a Number’s Game?  If you were to ask me 2 months ago, I would’ve told you that dating is probably just a number’s game.  It is like cold calling, getting job interviews, and landing a job.  When someone rejects you, you should not take it personally or feel like the whole world is collapsing, because it is just numbers..  That sounds rather cold and jaded?  Today if you were to ask me the same question, I would tell you in a heart beat, that dating is not a Number’s Game, but it is Divine.

So, the final question is, do I fulfill the “Family Prophecy”, or do I go with the Unexpected and take a chance in the unkown?  I don’t have an answer.  However, I’ve figured out steps with integrity (I think) that I can take that will lead me to a conclusion (or so I hope so).

and this is faith – What God has put together, no one can separate.

Quote of the day.

It’s not the size of the dog in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog.

Ruff!

And it’s Wednesday, so Happy Hump Day!

Some cause happiness wherever they go;  Others whenever they go.

Which one are you?

New Poem.

This was for my cubemate, coworker, and friend.

An Ode to Shea

You are always bursting with ideas

Introduce me to new medias

Whether it’s just Daily Candy,

The once addictive Panda Cam,

Or “Check you for Ticks” from Paisley

You complete any cubicle’s dream

A cool friend, a nice neighbor,

And the ultimate Kip Master!

I will miss most about our daily round

Touring the land as if we’ve never been around

I will miss my DSW partner in crime

It is always shoes shopping time!

There are boots, boots, but no boobs!

We shared and learned from another

Once you were a skeptic of my Black Gum

In the end you still thought it was yum

You never gave a chance to the Bubble Tea

I guess we can’t always come to agree

Thanks for sharing your Airborne

Without them I would have been worn

You bring inspiration day after day

Always lifting me up

Even on the slowest day

You are a woman filled with passion

Always cheering me up

Even at the darkest hour with most compassion

Now who will listen to my daily rant?

I guess I will talk to my new bamboo plant.

Quotes, better than fortune cookies.

I have a white board hanging on the wall of my office cube.  On the right side of the board, it consists of quotes that random folks decide to share.  The quotes start to accumulate since the beginning of the year.  There is barely anymore room for new quotes now.  By the new year 2008 I will erase the board clean and start new quotes.

Since I haven’t made time to write much on this blog, I will start posting these quotes.  These quotes are usually short but inspiring and true.  They can be applied to life and to work.  Enjoy and feel free to comment.

Quote for today is:

Know Your Limits.

fatty or furry?

I apologize for the poor image quality.  It was the best I could do with my motorola slvr phone at 7am rushing to work.

So I was staying at my uncle & aunt’s house the other night.  They have 2 cats.  As I walked into the kitchen in the early morning, pushing the kitchen door open, this was the first thing I saw..
